How do I check my Harvard referencing?
Two things a marker checks first: that every citation in the text — (Okafor, 2024), Okafor (2024, p. 12) — has an entry in the reference list, and that every entry is cited somewhere. Then the list itself: its own page, alphabetical by surname, hanging indents, and each entry in Cite Them Right form — Author, A. (Year) ‘Article title’, Journal Title, Volume(Issue), pp. pages. Which Harvard is this?+
Cite Them Right, 12th edition — the version most UK, Irish and Australian universities point students to. If your department’s guide differs (a comma after the author, no pp.), the cross-check and layout still apply; treat the entry-form hints as Cite Them Right’s.
Does it rewrite my citations?+
No. Citations in the text are never touched; the report names what does not match so you decide. The reference list is formatted (page, order, indents) and, with Pro, corrected entry by entry — with every correction shown before it is applied.
